Stabilisation works to the cliff face at Freshwater Quarry, Brixham, will be starting the week beginning Monday 30 January 2017 and will take approximately 14 weeks to complete.
The work will include adding rock netting to the cliff face and installing dowels, rock bolts and soil nails.
The two local car parks, Freshwater and Oxen Cove, will remain open whilst the works are taking place.
Executive Lead for Environment, Councillor Terry Manning, said: “Unfortunately this type of construction may cause a certain level of background noise, but as the works are being carried out, we aim to keep this to a minimum so that it has a minimal impact on local residents. These works are essential for health and safety reasons and so it is important for the safety of local residents and visitors.”
Local residents have been sent a letter explaining what works will be carried out.
