Local businesses and residents are being invited to come along to a FREE event on Wednesday 18 May 2016 to help them lead healthy lives in happier workplaces.
The Wellbeing event, which is being put on by Torbay Council, starts at 10 am and will be running until 3 pm. The event will be taking place in the Assembly rooms at the Town Hall in Torquay.
Information for businesses about the Wellbeing At Work Charter will be available at the event. This charter helps employers understand how they can support their workforce to become healthier and happier in their work environments, as well as in their day to day lives.
A number of stalls from a range of local health and fitness organisations and businesses will also be available for attendees to visit and speak to representatives. The stalls include:
• Local gyms
• Leisure centres
• Slimming clubs
• Holistic & massage therapists
• One You
• Devon Doctors
• The Fire Service
• Torbay Domestic Abuse Service
The event has been previously run for Torbay Council staff and was very successful, which is why it has been expanded to opened up to members of the public and local employers are welcome to attend.
