From Friday 3 to Monday 6 April, the popular continental travelling market will return to Princess Gardens in Torquay.
Torbay’s Elected Mayor, Gordon Oliver, said: “This popular market never fails to bring a hefty splash of joie de vivre and will be bringing its usual intoxicating colours and scents packed to bursting with authentic, top quality delicacies, objets d’arts and fashion items.
“Organised by international market event operators Savoir Fayre Ltd, we welcome this lively and colourful continental travelling market back to Torquay for the first time in 2015.
“It is always popular and highly-rated and will bring an atmosphere of conviviality and fun over the four day period."
The market features traders from France, Italy, Spain and the UK and all are handpicked for their experience and professionalism and the quality and popularity of their merchandise. The food is quality, fresh and authentic food, with traditional ingredients and flavours that haven’t changed for generations. It is a real taste of a traditional European market.
There will be a French delicatessen stall, with a range of exquisite artisanal terrines, patés, charcuterie, cured meats and freshly baked bread. The finest French cheese and sausages will also be on offer and olives, homemade olive oil, mustards and pasta.
For those who get peckish while looking around there will paella, chicken fajitas, couscous, and juicy hog roast sandwiches – all perfect as warm snacks.
