To round off a year of successful cycling in style, Torbay Council and British Cycling are hosting a free Christmas Cycle Ride at Torbay Velopark, Clennon Valley in Paignton.

The ride is scheduled for Monday 29 December, from 10am to 12noon, and you can register your free place by visiting http://www.goskyride.com/Search/Details?eventid=51915.

With the ride welcoming all types of rider, from young to old, beginner to elite, it is the perfect chance to get out on the track and join this festive celebration. You may have a new set of wheels that need a spin or want to burn off some calories after the festive season.

Christmas costumes and tinsel decorated bikes are encouraged so dress yourself, and your bike, to impress.

Torbay Council’s Executive Lead for Sport, Councillor Robert Excell, said: “This festive, easygoing ride is great for all abilities and ages, allowing riders to relax and enjoy the traffic-free circuit. If you have not cycled for a while or are looking for a fun way to get your friends or children into cycling, this is a great event to participate in”.

This winter, take advantage of the Velopark ride offer of £1. With no need to book, the offer is open to users from 27 December 2014 until 31 January 2015.
