We have had to change the way that some of our service operates to meet the guidelines set out by the government in response to the Coronavirus pandemic.

Whether it is a new born baby, an older or an adoptive child, a naming ceremony is a wonderful way to welcome a child into a family.

Each ceremony is unique to you and your family and is an alternative option for people who wish to celebrate a special time in their lives but do not wish to have a religious ceremony. The ceremony has no legal status.

Wherever the ceremony is held it will be conducted by staff from the local Register Office. You should contact the venue first to make sure that the date you want is available and you are happy with their costs.
