When we staged our very first event in November 2007 in Torquay it’s safe to say there is no way that we could have predicted this!
Since that first one the community that is K&Q has attracted more and more followers and genuinely become an important part of people’s lives – none more so than ours. We are so proud of our role in the wider burlesque industry and our reputation as Devon’s burlesque funsters.
We have continued to bring some of the brightest and most original, performers, musicians and alternative acts on the burlesque and cabaret scene to our small corner of the world and our audiences have been truly treated to amazing entertainment, people have been thrilled and wowed, people have laughed and cried, people have been amazed and delighted but K&Q is not just about what happens on stage – in fact, what happens on stage is only one element of this very special night out.
K&Q is a place to truly celebrate your inner kinky and quirky without judgement or fear of reprisals – it’s a space to totally be you and it’s unique in our part of the world. This is the thing we are the most proud of! We are proud of the friendships that have blossomed, the work relationships that have been forged, the emotional connections that have been made and the diversity and celebratory vibe of everyone of our events.
So on Saturday February 11th 2017 we will be transforming the The Riviera Centre once again with banners and paintings to create a backdrop for a real spectacle on stage and a kick ass after party:
For our 100th show we are bringing together a collection of performers who we feel best represent the diversity of the burlesque community and our K&Q community here in S.Devon. Some of these performers are new to us at K&Q, some are old favourites, but they are all leading names in the burlesque world and they are all ‘thrilled’ and ‘honoured’ to be part of our milestone show!

This will be yet another unforgettable night for burlesque lovers and we are super excited to be putting this amazing show on in our little seaside town of Torquay and continuing to put it well and truly on the burlesque map.
After the stage show there will be much frivolity and dancing with a cracking eclectic mix of music – swing, rock n roll, ska, soul, funk, boogie-woogie, R&B, garage, mambo, retro cheese, cool indie, stuff you can shake your tail feathers too until 2.00am
