Torbay families and local residents are being encouraged to put their best foot forward and join in a brand-new walking treasure hunt, with some great prizes to be won along the way. Each month you will be able to take part in a Healthy Selfie, using your mobile phones (and the FREE what3words app) to find locations, answer a quiz question, collect some selfies to submit and learn some new trivia along the way.
The routes, which are all between two and three miles long, will take you to some great local arts, heritage, and historical sites, as well as places of natural beauty. There’s a limited edition badge available for the first 100 people to complete each monthly challenge, while for every monthly trail you complete, you will gain another entry into our grand prize draw to win prizes up to the value of £1200* for you and your family/friends.
A new route will be released at the start of each month from April 2023 and will take you tohighly Instagrammable places across our beautiful Bay, taking in Torquay, Paignton and Brixham. Wherever possible, the routes have been designed to be accessible, with alternative suggestions provided if this is not the case. Suggestions for getting to the start of each of the walks by public transport will also be provided.
The Healthy Selfie Trail has been commission by Torbay Council as part of their Torbay on the Move initiative, which encourages people to get more active and adopt healthier lifestyles. It is being delivered by Tonic Creatives.
