Brixham Marine Conservation Day is bringing together local, national and international organisations concerned with marine conservation. The aim is to raise awareness of marine conservation issues, to educate the next generation and to introduce children to research and survey work.

A day filled with interesting and informative talks, interactive stands showing the latest research techniques and results, demonstrations throughout the day - fun and informative for all the family....

Activities include:

  • Talks on the topics of the Community Seagrass Initiative, marine conservation/research and other interesting subjects
  • Marine-conservation-based organisations will be manning interactive stands featuring their activities and campaigns
  • Beach clean and survey
  • Crab competition and survey
  • Adopt a dolphin
  • A reading by the author of The Magic Dolphin, Kirsten Hintner
  • Marine mammal rescue demonstration
  • Photography competition
  • Plus many other interactive experiences

So come on down to Brixham for a fun and informative day and experience the wonderful wildlife this hidden gem of a marine conservation destination has to offer.
