We want to hear from anyone who has an interest in how we can improve housing across the Bay.

The consultation on our draft Housing Strategy, along with four other associated strategies, closes in two weeks.

Our housing responsibilities cover a broad range of issues, from identifying land for new homes to improving old ones and meeting the wide variety of housing needs of its communities.

Along with the main Housing Strategy, we would like to receive comments on the four more detailed strategies and policies that sit beneath it. These include the Homelessness and Rough Sleeping Strategy and the Draft Tenancy Strategy.

Councillor Swithin Long, Cabinet Member for Economic Regeneration, Tourism and Housing, said: “Within this consultation, we have six questions that we would like to hear your answers to. These include, whether we have got our priorities right and what specific actions we, together with local communities and partner organisations, need to take to deliver our priorities.

“Please be assured, we will read all of your comments and feedback and I really encourage you to take a look at these strategies and fill in the consultation.”

The consultation on the Housing Strategy, and its associated strategies, is open for your feedback until Friday 31 January 2020 and can be found on the Draft Housing Strategy page.
