This year’s Annual Civic Church Service will be taking place at St Luke's Church, Torquay on Sunday 8 October 2017 at 3pm.

Torbay Council’s Chairman, Councillor Anne Brooks, said: “The Annual Church Service is an opportunity to celebrate and give thanks. Everyone is very welcome to come along, as individual residents or those representing organisations and groups within the community.”

Reverend Peter March, the Chairman’s Chaplain for this year, will be taking the service which will include traditional hymns and readings 

The collection will be in support of the Chairman’s good causes - Carers' Aid Torbay and Torbay Museums' Trust.

Councillors, including past Mayors and Chairmen, with dignitaries from other local authorities, will be attending. Dress should be smart, and hats are optional for ladies. Guests are asked to take their seats at 2.45 pm for a 3 pm start.

The church is situated in St Luke's Road, Torquay, TQ2 5NX. There is limited parking at the church for the less able with some on-street parking in surrounding areas. The nearest car parks are at Shedden Hill, TQ2 5TY and Lower Union Lane (also accessible from Abbey Road).
