Flock is a new piece of family friendly dance theatre devised, co-created and performed by members of the Spindrift Dance Collective. The work is inspired by our South West landscapes: our birds, insects, plants, rivers, trees, & waters.
SpinDrift Dance Collective have been studying the women who founded the RSPB and the universal messages of conservation, flocking together and appreciating bird life in local spaces. The work begins with the 5 female founders of the RSPB. Female activists of their time, who gathered women together and protested against the use of feathers and plumage in fashion.
During Wavelength SpinDrift will be performing a bespoke version of Flock, inspired by Torre Abbey and the starling murmurations.
