You are invited to come and enjoy the new ‘Lightplay’ lights along Royal Terrance Gardens (Rock Walk) in Torquay.
Walking along the pathways from the Pavilion end, you can expect to discover a number of unexpected surprises along the route, including street entertainers, workshops and storytellers. They will all be connecting the lighting design to the themes of discovery and natural heritage.
Created as part of the government Towns Fund investment, the new illuminations make the area both a safer and more attractive place to stroll at night. As well as repairs being made to the existing electrics on site, the steps up to the platform now have a warm sunset theme, with 10 new columns illuminating the gardens and planting, as well as projecting shapes onto the pathways. The reds and yellows of the lighting scheme complements the Bay’s Health and Happiness motto.
