This summer, the ‘Banjo’ area of Princess Garden is set to be brought alive with a series of free family-friendly events featuring music, theatre, storytelling, workshops and lots of unexpected fun along the way.

Global Local presents a line-up of amazing live music featuring Fat Brass and Stompin’ Dave. Fat Brass is an explosive lip-splitting brass tour de force that flips instantly recognisable samples from the very bottom of the crate. Composed of the creme-de-la-creme of up-and-coming horn players and drummers, the band seamlessly blends into one giant wall of sound that you can hear coming across the horizon way before you spot the trumpet bells glinting in the sunshine.

Meanwhile, Stompin’ Dave will also be taking to the Banjo stage, which is quite apt, as this bluegrass virtuoso has travelled the world with his superb banjo performances. He also plays guitar, keyboard, banjo, fiddle and harmonica and tap dances at the same time. Described by Maverick Magazine as "one of the world's greatest performers," he’s played everywhere from Glastonbury Festival to Camp Bestival and Wilderness. Like nothing you have ever seen before…
