All commercial waste must be taken to the Weighbridge, so that the weight of the waste being delivered can be recorded for charging. Vehicles carrying commercial waste must not use the household waste recycling centre.

A site induction including identification of site hazards, emergency procedures; and the terms and conditions of use will be completed before businesses will be allowed to use the site. Commercial customers must wear hi-visibility jackets/vests and steel-toe cap boots when out of their vehicle. These must be provided by the business, SWISCo cannot provide them. You will not be allowed to tip without them.

Using the public Weighbridge

  • On arrival you must inform the site team at the main gate that you are delivering commercial waste or want to use the public Weighbridge. You will be directed to the Weighbridge for your vehicle to be weighed. SWISCo’s staff will direct you while on site and you must follow their instructions.
  • You must be a registered waste carrier to deliver recycling and/or waste, evidence of this will be required.

All deliveries of recycling and waste must be accompanied by a waste transfer note

  • Cash payment is not accepted; all payments must be by card.

All Weighbridge customers should be off site by 3.45pm. The Weighbridge is closed on bank holidays including Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Years Day.
