Redevelop main farm site to establish quality farm visitor attraction.

The Committee considered an application for redevelopment of main farm site to establish quality farm visitor attraction.

Prior to the meeting, Members of the Planning Committee undertook a site visit and written representations were available on the Council’s Website.  At the meeting Leon Butler addressed the Committee against the application.

Resolved:

(i)        delegated authority be granted to the Director of Planning and Transport to grant conditional approval subject to further negotiations in respect of whether the applicant could entertain a revised siting of the animal barn, (if not grant permission for the scheme as submitted) to include the conditions set out in the submitted report and the receipt of revised parking details, with the final drafting of conditions being delegated to the Assistant Director of Planning and Transport; and

(ii)      the resolution of any new material considerations that may come to light being delegated to the Assistant Director of Planning and Transport, including the addition of any necessary further planning conditions or obligations.

(Note:  Prior to consideration of this application, Councillor Doggett declared a non-pecuniary interest as a member of the RSPB).

The Committee considered an application for installation of a 20 metre high street works pole with 9 antennas, 6 equipment cabinets and ancillary development.

Prior to the meeting, Members of the Planning Committee undertook a site visit and written representations were available on the Council’s Website.  At the meeting Clair Flower addressed the Committee against the application.

Resolved:

Deferred for further negotiations with regard to revised siting of the new equipment, perceived negative health implications and their impact on the neighbouring business, further information on the timescale for the removal of the existing antennae equipment and correct resolution of the legal notices.

The Committee considered an application for alteration and extension to the Emergency Department and associated works.

Resolved:

(i)        Approved subject to the final drafting of conditions being delegated to the Assistant Director for Planning and Transport, including those set out in the submitted report; and

(ii)       the resolution of any new material considerations that may come to light being delegated to the Assistant Director of Planning and Transport.
