An apology for absence was received from Councillor Parrott.  It was reported in accordance with the wishes of the Liberal Democrat Group, the membership of the Committee had been amended for this meeting by including Councillors Stocks instead of Councillor Darling.  In accordance with the wishes of the Conservative Group, the membership for this meeting had been amended to include Councillors Bye and Parrott instead of Councillors Lewis and the Mayor.

To confirm as a correct record the Minutes of the meeting of the Committee held on 6 January 2016.

The minutes of the Employment Committee held on 6 January 2016 were confirmed as a correct record and signed by the Chairman.

Prior to consideration of the item in Minute 25 the press and public were formally excluded from the meeting on the grounds that the item involved the likely disclosure of exempt information as defined in paragraph 1 and 2 of Part 1 of Schedule 12A of the Local Government Act 1972 (as amended).

Members considered the appointment of Director of People Services.
