It was reported that, in accordance with the wishes of the Conservative Group, the membership of the Committee has been amended for this meeting by including Councillor Thomas (D) instead of Councillor Thomas (J).

To confirm as a correct record the Minutes of the meeting of the Committee held on 10 November 2015 and 24 November 2015.

Subject to Councillor Lang being included in the attendance on the 24 November 2015, the Minutes of the meetings of the Employment Committee held on the 10 November 2015 and 24 November 2015 were confirmed as a correct record and signed by the Chairman.

Prior to consideration of the item in Minute 21 the press and public were formally excluded from the meeting on the grounds that the item involved the likely disclosure of exempt information as defined in paragraph 1 and 2 of Part 1 of Schedule 12A of the Local Government Act 1972 (as amended).

Members considered an exempt report on the proposed Director post.

Resolved:

(i)       That the proposed job description and terms and conditions for post of Director of Integration and Transformation (working title) be approved;

(ii)      that amendments be made to the Job Description for Director of People Services to reflect the line management of the proposed post of Director of Integration and Transformation, and that the essential criteria be reviewed; and

(iii)      that the Director of Public Health be permitted to temporarily increase their hours from 1 December 2015 for six months.
