It was reported that, in accordance with the wishes of the Independent Group, the membership of the Committee had been amended to include Councillor Maddison in place of Councillor Amil, who was originally due to replace Councillor Cowell.

To confirm as a correct record the Minutes of the meeting of the Committee held on 15 October 2024.

The Minutes of the meeting of the Employment Committee held on 15 October 2024 were confirmed as a correct record and signed by the Chair.

Prior to consideration of the item in Minute 16, the press and public were formally excluded from the meeting on the grounds that the item involved the likely disclosure of exempt information as defined in paragraph 1 of Part 1 of Schedule 12A of the Local Government Act 1972 (as amended).

To consider the submitted exempt report on the above.

The Committee considered the merits of the candidate who attended the Panel on 16 October 2025 for the proposed recruitment for the post of Director of Regeneration and Place Delivery.

Resolved:

That David Carter be appointed Director of Regeneration and Place Delivery, with effect from 1 November 2025.
