The Enforcement Officer (Licensing) circulated a map to Members showing the position of the Premise in relation to the Representation, with the Chairman’s approval.

The Applicant’s Solicitor

The Applicant’s Solicitor outlined the application, as set out in the report, made submissions on the issues raised by the Interested Party and responded to Members questions.

 

The Premise is within the Cumulative Impact Zone.

 

Members noted that there had been no Representations from any of the Responsible Authorities.

 

Members also noted that that person who had made the Representation had returned their Notice, advising that they would not be attending the Committee hearing.

 

Decision:

 

That the application for a Premises Licence in respect of The Polish Shop, 9 Market Street, Torquay TQ1 3AF be granted as applied for, subject to the conditions proposed in the Operating Schedule.

 

Reason for Decision:

 

Having carefully considered the written and oral Representations, Members resolved to grant the Licence, having been satisfied that the Premises would not add to crime and disorder or public nuisance as defined in the Council’s Policy.

 

Members further noted that there was no Representation from either of the Responsible Authorities and therefore resolved that the Licensing Objectives would not be undermined by the grant of this Licence.
