To confirm as a correct record the Minutes of the meeting of this Committee held on 26 July 2012.

The Minutes of the meeting of the Licensing Committee held on 16 August 2012 were confirmed as a correct record and signed by the Chairman.

To inform Members of the content of the draft Hackney Carriage and Private Hire Licensing Policy referred to as ‘The Policy’. This Policy shall amend and replace the existing Policy and to provide Members with an opportunity to amend and approve the draft Policy, prior to the document going out for public consultation.  Any Representations made by the Licensing Committee will be considered as part of that consultation process.

The Committee considered a report which set out the draft Hackney Carriage and Private Hire Licensing Policy referred to as ‘the Policy’ prior to it going out for a 12 week public consultation.

Approval of the finalised Policy is a Licensing Committee decision and will be presented to the Committee for endorsement in January 2013.
