Decision:
i) That the Director of Finance, in consultation with the Cabinet Member for Housing and Finance approve the full budget of £300,000 from the Higher Needs Capital Allocations, to enable the delivery of the Family Time project at Fairwinds.
ii) That the Director of Finance, in consultation with the Cabinet Member for Housing and Finance include the Paignton Gateway project onto the Capital Investment Plan and approve an initial allocation of £141,000 from the following to enable feasibility and masterplanning up to a Strategic Outline Case (SOC):
£48,000 contribution from Victoria Centre project budget
£34,000 from the Housing Feasibility Budget
£75,000 from Transport Contributions
Reasons for the decision:
All projects were reviewed and deemed to be strategically advantageous and satisfactorily compliant in terms of their feasibility and levels of risk to enable them to progress.
Alternative options considered:
The projects could be put on hold or cancelled and the grant funding received for them could be returned to central government.
Implementation:
This decision will be implemented immediately.
