The Our Promise to You – The Torbay Pledge to Cared for and Care Experienced Children/Young People (2025 Edition) is a commitment by the corporate parents to support, empower, and respect the children and young people in their care. The Pledge is built on the voices, experiences, and aspirations of these individuals and reflects the corporate parents' commitment to listen, act, and stand beside them. The 2025 Pledge has been developed as a guiding document until the new Corporate Parenting Strategy is ready (December 2025). The Pledge has been developed through consultation with cared for children and care experienced adults in Torbay, reflecting real experiences and aligning with restorative practice values and inclusive language and has been signed off by the Corporate Parenting Board.
