Pavilion:
· For the project to progress with the delivery of the opening up works via the competitively tendered supplier, utilising an overall budget of £1.5m from its £2m allocation of Towns Deal funds;
· Subject to the Ministry of Housing and Local Government (MHCLG) approval, virement of the residual £500,000 to support other Towns Deal projects; and
Station Square:
· For the project to progress through to delivery with a revised budget of £3,459,021 (£500,000 increase), utilising £500,000 of funding reallocations from Paignton & Preston Levelling Up Partnership (LUP) funding, subject to MHCLG approval.
Reasons for the decision:
All projects were reviewed and deemed to be strategically advantageous and satisfactorily compliant in terms of their feasibility and levels of risk to enable them to progress.
Alternative options considered:
Approval of this decision enables the projects to progress within a controlled process, minimising the risk of not fully utilising the grant funding available.
Implementation:
This decision will be implemented immediately.
