That the lease for Sites 1, 2 & 4 Blackthorn Way, Yalberton, Paignton, be renewed with the existing tenant, for a seven year period.
Reasons for the decision:
The Council must agree a formal lease to regulate the occupation and have agreed terms to be contracted outside of the Landlord & Tenant Act 1954 (Sect 24-28) Security of Tenure Provisions. The agreed rent has been tested against the market rent and the lease would include regular rent reviews.
Alternative options considered:
The Council may choose not to grant the lease of this property.

The decision will be implemented immediately.
Information:
The Tenant, is currently occupying under a lease dated 18 September 2017 and is now holding over. The tenant wishes to renew the lease for another seven year term and the occupation now needs to be documented by way of a lease renewal.
