That Nancy Meehan be appointed the Chair of the Torbay Youth Justice Services Strategic Board.
Reasons for the decision:
To ensure compliance with the Crime and Disorder Act 1998 and Youth Justice Board guidance the Chief Executive of the Local Authority was required to approve the appointment.

Torbay Youth Justice Service has a two-tier governance structure with a Strategic Management Board made up of senior officers from all statutory partners, as well as representatives of the wider partnership at the appropriate level as described by the YJB guidance. At a meeting of the Strategic Board on 11 November 2024 Nancy Meehan, Director of Children’s Services for Torbay Council was elected as chair of the Strategic Board.
