Decision:

That an amount of £25,000 be awarded from the Torquay allocation of the Community Infrastructure Levy Fund to Barton Recreation Ground Limited towards providing a Community Sport, Health and Wellbeing hub at Cricketfield Road, Barton, Torquay.   

 

Reasons for the decision:

The applications were considered by the CiL Spend Panel on 6 August 2024 and recommendations were made to the Divisional Director of Planning, Housing and Climate Emergency.

Alternative options considered:

An alternative option would have been to refuse the application, this option was discounted as the application met the criteria for funding.

 

Implementation:

This decision will come into force with effect from 6 August 2024.

 

Information:

Determination of an application that sought £25,000 from the Community Infrastructure Levy Fund (neighbourhood proportion), for providing a Community Sport, Health and Wellbeing hub at Cricketfield Road, Barton, Torquay.  The application was submitted by Barton Recreation Ground Limited. 

 

The CiL Spend Panel met on 6 August 2024 and recommended that the Divisional Director of Planning, Housing and Climate Change approve the application.
