That the Torbay Housing Strategy and Resource and Waste Management Strategy be launched for a six week public consultation.

Reasons for the decision:

As the Torbay Housing Strategy and Resource and Waste Management Strategy both form part of the Council’s Policy Framework, there was a requirement to undertake consultation on any changes.

None.

Implementation:

This decision will be implemented immediately.

Information:

At the meeting of the Cabinet on 19 September 2023, the Cabinet launched for consultation the Community and Corporate Plan 2023-2043. In doing so, the Cabinet also gave authority to the Chief Executive, in consultation with the Leader of the Council, to determine any further Policy Framework plans and strategies to be published for consultation to bring them in line with the draft Community and Corporate Plan. In accordance with this direction from the Cabinet the Torbay Housing Strategy and Resource and Waste Management Strategy have been launched for public consultation.
