Decision:

That the Leader of the Council, Councillor David Thomas be appointed as the Council’s representative on the Torbay Place Leadership Board until May 2027.

Reasons for the decision:

To appoint the Council’s representative on the Torbay Place Leadership Board.

This decision will come into force immediately.

Information:

At the adjourned Annual Council meeting held on 25 May 2023 the Council approved the annual review of appointments of Councillor representatives on outside organisations. The Leader of the Council should have been appointed as the Council’s Councillor representative on the Torbay Place Leadership Board but this appointment was inadvertently omitted from the report to Council. The full membership and terms of reference of the Torbay Place Leadership Board is attached at Appendix 1 to this Record of Decision.

Therefore in accordance with paragraph 1.23 of the Officer Scheme of Delegation, the Chief Executive, in consultation with the Group Leaders has made the appointment to this body as set out below.
