That the Council’s representation on the Regional Adoption Agency Joint Scrutiny Group be amended to include the Vice-Chair of the Children and Young People’s Overview and Scrutiny Sub-Committee instead of the Overview and Scrutiny Co-ordinator.

To comply with the requirements of the Regional Adoption Agency Joint Scrutiny Group’s review of their Terms of Reference and Membership.

The Regional Adoption Agency Joint Scrutiny Group was appointed as an Outside Body by the Council in May 2023.  The Council’s representatives on the same were named by position, namely, Overview and Scrutiny Co-ordinator and the Scrutiny Lead for Children’s Services.

The Regional Adoption Agency Joint Scrutiny Group have just undertaken a review of their Terms of Reference and Membership and have requested the Council’s representatives be amended so that the Scrutiny Lead for Children’s Services and Vice-Chair of the Children and Young People Overview and Scrutiny Sub-Board be appointed as the Council’s representatives.

In accordance with paragraph 1.23 of the Officer Scheme of delegation (outside bodies), the Chief Executive consulted with the Leader of the Council and Group Leaders on 23 September 2026.

None
