Decision:
That the Former Police Station at Bolton Cross, Brixham (now Brixham Museum) be listed on the Council’s list of assets of community value by 16 April 2020.
Reasons for the decision:
Following receipt of a community nomination for land to be listed as an Asset of Community Value, a local authority must reach a decision whether or not to list the nominated land within eight weeks of receiving the nomination.
Alternative options considered:
Having received a valid application the only other option would be to refuse to list the asset as an Asset of Community Value.
Implementation:
This decision will come into force and may be implemented on 1 April 2020 unless the call-in procedure is triggered (as set out in the Standing Orders in relation to Overview and Scrutiny).
Information:
An application to list the Former Police Station at Bolton Cross, Brixham (now Brixham Museum) as an Asset of Community Value has been received from Brixham Heritage and Museum Society and must be determined in accordance with the requirements of the Localism Act 2011 and the Assets of Community Value (England) Regulations 2012.
