There is ‘Magic to Do’ in the all new show this year Magic of the Stars.

Colin Matthews, the show’s producer and director won the Herald Express’s, ‘Outstanding Contribution to Tourism’ Award during his 30th year at the venue in 2016. He now has a legacy to maintain, therefore in 2017, ‘just for you’ he and the shows cast, invite you to join them on a two-hour journey that promises to ‘warm your heart’.

‘Humour handled by a master’ is very much in the hands of the host and headlining showman, Steve Laister. Imagine Roy Castle and Peter Sellers mixed up with Matt Monro and Ronnie Barker and you are beginning to get a flavour of what you might expect to see from this extremely versatile performer.

Others with, ‘parts to perform’ may appear familiar. One of the region’s most popular artistes, Lindsey Collard is a talented and beautiful actress and singer, with a flair for impressions. Another face you may recognise not because she has appeared previously on the Babbacombe boards, but because she was a resident of Beckindale! Actress, Gail-Marie was on your television screens between 2003 and 2008 in Emmerdale, however with her numerous West End & UK tours, you may well have enjoyed her exceptional vocal talent when she appeared in Copacabana, Aspects of Love or Summer Holiday?

Audiences are invited by the British Magical Champion of Illusion, Daniel Dean to join him as he takes them ‘Backstage at the Theatre’ – ‘Journey to a spot exciting, mystic and exotic’ the real ‘House of Fun’, whilst, the effervescent Wayne ‘Champagne’ Martin, will take the stage by storm’ with his ‘Hill-arious’ fables as he recounts two iconic TV comedy stars Benny & Harry!

Enhancing every show tune, pop hit and illusion will be Danze Magique. They have an adept ability to interpret the content set by choreographer Georgia Lee with flair whilst engaging with the musical arrangements of Pete Leonard. As do, the Rock Starz, six youngsters who will undoubtedly make a lasting impression.

Every ‘anecdotic revue’ is not only reliant on the combined talents of its cast but dependant on the content and staging. This all new family variety show features extracts from Broadway and West End shows, has hit songs that span seven decades, numerous classic comedic sketches as well as inspirational lighting, costume design, choreography, and musical arrangements.
