Description

To be responsible for directing and delivering all the projects that are part of the ‘Getting a life, not just a service’ programme of change for Learning Disability services in Torbay

 

1.      Objectives

 

a)     To provide the vision, mandate and strategy that will drive the transformational changes to LD NHS provided services in Torbay

 

b)     To be responsible for progress of the transformation programme for LD

 

c)      To consider and agree the issues that arise from the programme that will need to be raised within the Trust.

 

d)     To ensure all projects fit with the overall programme, vision and strategy and as the projects develop, to ensure that any learning is fed into the vision and strategy. 

 

e)     To resolve programme issues where possible and to raise issues to the Care Trust Board as necessary.

 

f)        To ensure that the risks associated with the programme are managed.

 

g)     To ensure that all projects deliver within agreed parameters, e.g. cost, organisational impact and expected/actual benefits realisation and HR plans etc.

 

h)      To ensure the impact of change in other areas of business across the Trust, Torbay’s strategic partners, the Council and community is recognised and managed to ensure stability through the programme of change

 

i)        To act as a champion of learning disabilities for all stakeholders, ensuring awareness and understanding is promoted across the community of Torbay

 

j)        To report regularly to the integrated care governance committee

 

k)      To escalate all key decisions to the integrated governance committee

 

l)        To ensure that Overview and Scrutiny are informed of and consulted with on strategic plans and key decisions
