To elect a Chairman/woman for the 2014/2015 Municipal Year.

Councillor Mills was elected as Chairman for the 2014/2015 Municipal year.

An apology for absence was received from Mayor Oliver.

It was reported that, in accordance with the wishes of the Non-Coalition Group, the membership of the Committee had been amended for this meeting by including Councillor Ellery instead of Councillor Cowell.

To appoint a Vice-Chairman/woman for the 2014/2015 Municipal Year.

Councillor McPhail was appointed Vice-Chairman for the 2014/2015 Municipal year.

To confirm as a correct record the Minutes of the meeting of the Committee held on 3 October 2013.

The Minutes of the meeting of the Employment Committee held on 3 October 2014 were approved as a correct record and signed by the Chairman.

Prior to consideration of the item (Minute 15) the press and public were formally excluded from the meeting on the grounds that the item involved the likely disclosure of exempt information as defined in paragraph 1 of Part 1 of Schedule 12A of the Local Government Act 1972 (as amended).

To consider a Report on the above.

The Committee considered the extension to the acting up arrangements for the Acting Director of Public Health.

The Executive Director for Finance and Operations provided Members with a verbal update.

Resolved:

that the Acting arrangements for the Director of Public Health be extended until 31^st March 2015.
