10.	Exclusion of the Press and Public View the background to item 10. To consider passing a resolution to exclude the press and public from the meeting prior to consideration of the following item on the agenda on the grounds that exempt information (as defined by the Local Government (Access to Information) Act, 1985) is likely to be disclosed. Minutes: Prior to consideration of the item Minute 11 the press and public were formally excluded from the meeting on the grounds that the item involved the likely disclosure of exempt information as defined in paragraph 1 of Part 1 of Schedule 12A of the Local Government Act 1972 (as amended).
11.	Employment Appeal To consider documentation regarding an appeal in respect of employment and determine the appeal. Minutes: Members considered exempt documentation regarding an appeal in respect of employment. The appellant attended the hearing with a union representative. In accordance with the appeals procedure, the Committee heard representations from the employee at the meeting. Resolved: That the decision of the Executive Head of Safeguarding and Wellbeing be confirmed and the appeal be dismissed.
