Additional documents:

Minutes:

The Council considered an exempt report setting out notice of a reserved matter received from the TDA.  The reserved matter related to the acquisition of a company in order to meet the targets set in the TDA’s Business Plan.  The exempt report set out the constitutional requirements for the Council to consider the matter as the Executive recommendation was contrary to the Council’s policy framework.

Councillor Mills proposed and Councillor Amil seconded a motion as set out below:

that the Council objects to the reserved matter in relation to the company as set out in the exempt report.

During the debate Councillor Tyerman proposed and Councillor Darling (S) seconded an amendment to the motion as follows:

that reserved matter consent be given to the TDA to acquire the company as set out in the exempt report.

The amendment was put to the vote and declared carried.

The amended (substantive) motion was then considered by members, which was agreed by the Council as follows:

that reserved matter consent be given to the TDA to acquire the company as set out in the exempt report.
