Decision:
That Torbay Council enters into a new 50 year lease of the entire area (known as Fundus) within the boundary of Tor Bay Harbour as shown edged red on the attached Plan from the Crown Estate.
Reasons for the decision:
To ensure that the Council’s tenure of the seabed within Tor Bay Harbour continues under a single lease.
Alternative options considered:
(i) to renew the existing leases as they stand; or
(ii) not to renew the leases.
Implementation:
This decision will come into force immediately.
Information:
Torbay Council currently hold portions of foreshore (known as Fundus) from the Crown Estate under 3 separate leases. It was proposed that the Council take a new 50 year lease of the entire area within the boundary of Tor Bay Harbour such to include these areas.
