Further to the decision of Council on 1 February 2018 delegating designation of seats to ungrouped Independent members to the Governance Support Manager, the designations have been determined as follows:

Councillor King – Appeals (School Transport) and Development Management Committees

Councillor Mills – Employment and Licensing Committees

Councillor Parrott – Housing Rental Company and Licensing Committees

Working Parties:

Councillor Amil – Airshow Working Party

Councillor Excell – Children’s Services Monitoring Working Party

Councillor King – Adults Services and Public Health Monitoring Working Party

Councillor Mills – Community Asset Transfer Panel

Councillor Parrott – Corporate Parent Members Group

To determine the designations of seats to ungrouped Independent members following the Council’s decision on political balance on 1 February 2018.

This decision will come into force immediately.

At its meeting on 1 February 2018, the Council determined the political balance on committees and working parties following notification that Councillors Amil, Excell, Mills and King wished to be known as ungrouped Independent members on the Council and Councillor Parrott wished to be known as a UKIP member.  The Governance Support Manager was given delegated authority to determine the designation of seats to the ungrouped Independent members/UKIP member, in consultation with the ungrouped Independent members.

The councillors concerned were consulted on 6 February 2018 and the seats have been designated as set out in the decision below.
