To approve the use of the Councils 2026/27 Zone 2 tariff for the above car parks, ensuring all of Torbay Councils car parks have the same tariffs in operation.

The Councils fees and charges for the year 2026/27 were formally approved at the Council meeting on 26^th February 2026, included within those charges was a revised tariff for Torbay Councils off-street parking places. Those revised tariffs are due to be implemented on 23^rd April 2026, however, the former TCCT car parks at the locations noted above were not included within the fees and charges document due to there not being an active Traffic Regulation Order, (TRO), in place at the four locations when the document was published for consultation.

In December 2025, Parking Services began the formal process for the implementation of a TRO for the above four car parks, which will become effective as of 27^th March 2026. This TRO will introduce our current tariff for Zone 2 car parks across Torbay, and to ensure that our tariffs are uniform across all of our parking places, it is proposed that the new tariff that is due to commence on 23^rd April 2026 should also be introduced at these four locations.

The alternative option is not to increase the tariff in line with Torbay Councils other car parks, which will mean that the tariff in place for the four former TCCT car parks will not be consistent with the Councils other Zone 2 parking places.

The new tariff will be implemented on 23^rd April 2026.
