Decision:

That an amount of £6785 be awarded from the Torquay allocation of the Community Infrastructure Levy Fund to Turning Heads towards infrastructure modifications to operate a café in Torre, Torquay.   

 

Reasons for the decision:

The applications were considered by the CiL Spend Panel on 3 December 2024 and recommendations were made to the Divisional Director of Planning, Housing and Climate Emergency.

 

Alternative options considered:

An alternative option would have been to refuse the application, this option was discounted as the application met the criteria for funding.

 

Implementation:

This decision will come into force with effect from 3 December 2024.

 

Information:

Determination of an application that sought £6785 from the Community Infrastructure Levy Fund (neighbourhood proportion), for infrastructure modifications to be made to existing café in Torre to operate as a café, helping families in temporary accommodation and assist with raising funds for social supermarket.  The application was submitted by Turning Heads. 

 

The CiL Spend Panel met on 3 December 2024 and recommended that the Divisional Director of Planning, Housing and Climate Change approve the application.
