The Stronger Communities Board
The Stronger Communities Board is our governing body and is chaired by a representative from one of the responsible authorities. The board meet quarterly and this provides a forum for senior staff from the partnerships statutory members to share information and advice on key issues.
Partners
Achieving safer communities depends on everyone working together to find local solutions to local problems. In addition to our statutory partners, we also work closely with a wide range of public sector, voluntary, community and private organisations. Below is a list of just a few non-statutory organisations we work with:
Devon and Cornwall Police and Crime Commissioner (PCC)
Although not a ‘responsible authority’ under the Crime and Disorder Act 1998, Police and Crime Commissioners work closely with Community Safety Partnerships to reduce crime and anti-social behaviour. Funding for CSPs comes from the Office of The Police and Crime Commissioner (OPCC) and therefore both have a duty to work closely and take each other’s priorities into account.
You can find out more about the PCC on the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner for Devon and Cornwall Opens in a new window website.
