In 2022, Her Majesty The Queen will become the first British Monarch to celebrate a Platinum Jubilee, seventy years of service, having acceded to the throne on 6 February 1952.
To mark this historic occasion, there will be year-round celebrations throughout not only the country, but also the Channel Islands and Commonwealth nations, to allow communities to come together and celebrate.
An extended bank holiday running from June 2 to June 5 will provide an opportunity for communities across the United Kingdom to mark the incredible milestone. The bank holiday will see various events, community activities, and tributes to Her Majesty.
