While it’s great to be making the most of the fine weather, it’s important to stay safe – and ensure others are safe too.
Some things to remember:
- Look out for older people, children and the vulnerable
- Drink regular fluids and avoid excess alcohol and extreme physical exertion
- Stay out of the direct sun between 11am to 3pm when UV rays are strongest
- If you need to go out, wear sunscreen, a hat and loose clothes
- Look out for signs of heat-related problems and get medical help if you feel unwell.
