Holding COVID-19 safe events

Find out what you can do to make sure your event is COVID-19 safe.

The COVID-19 outbreak presents challenges that will affect anyone organising an event. To make sure that you are setting up your event to keep your staff and everyone attending safe, keep checking the latest expert advice.

First things to consider:

  • Is it the right time to hold the event? What are the local case rates?
  • What is the current national guidance? This can change so keep checking the links below.
  • Outdoors is safer than indoors. If you’re meeting indoors, is the venue large enough and does it have good ventilation?
  • Who are the intended participants? Are they in risk groups?
  • Carry out a risk assessment and follow the events guidance below.
