Remain vigilant and comply with guidance immediately

If you have any coronavirus symptoms, get a test and stay at home. Remember, the best way to stop the spread of the virus is still hands, face, space and fresh air, get both doses of the vaccine, and keep up regular LFD testing.

Get fully vaccinated

Get both jabs if aged 18 and over, and one jab if aged 12 to 17. If invited to have a booster vaccine, do so as quickly as possible.

Consider the risk to others

Consider individual risks, such as vaccination status of other people you come into contact with. Make space and consider those taking the changes at their own pace. Get regularly tested too.

Keep getting tested

It’s important not to put others at risk.

  • Get a PCR test and self-isolate if you have symptoms, whether you think its COVID-19, flu or a cold.
  • Use LFD (asymptomatic) testing to help manage periods of risk such as after close contact with others in a higher risk environment, or before spending prolonged time with a more vulnerable person.

Hand and face hygiene

Wash your hands with soap and water or use hand sanitiser regularly throughout the day.

Cover your nose and mouth when you cough and sneeze.

Stay home if unwell

Stay at home if unwell to reduce the risk of passing on COVID-19 and other illnesses onto friends, family, colleagues, and others in your community.

Face coverings

Wearing a face covering where you come into contact with people you don’t normally meet in enclosed and crowded spaces.

Test and Trace

Businesses and customers are encouraged to continue to use QR codes to check in using the NHS COVID-19 app, to support NHS Test and Trace.

Meeting family and friends

Meet in well-ventilated areas where possible, such as outdoors or indoors with windows open.

Book a COVID-19 test
