Testing for people with NO COVID-19 symptoms

How testing for asymptomatic people works in Torbay.

One in three people with COVID-19 has no symptoms and regular testing helps to identify them so they can isolate and prevent spread of the virus.

So regular lateral flow (LFD) testing is now available for everyone in the community: that's anybody who lives or works in Torbay.

How asymptomatic testing works

  • LFD tests are taken twice a week
  • The result is uploaded to Test and Trace
  • You must take certain actions once you get your test results
  • Watch this NHS video to show you how to carry out an LFD test
