Calling all children - both young and old!
During your trip, you will be entertained by our two-part mini pantomime to get you in the festive spirit (part one on your outward journey and part two on your return journey - c.10 minutes in total).
Jealous of Snow White's beauty, a wicked queen orders the death of her pure and virtuous stepdaugher, but later discovers that Snow White is still alive and hiding in a cottage with friendly little miners - the seven dwarfs!! Disguising herself as a hag, the Queen brings a poisoned apple to Snow White, who falls into a death-like sleep that can be broken only by a kiss from her Prince. Be prepared to come along and join in the Hi-Ho, Hi-Ho chorus and chase off the wicked Queen for the sake of true love. Altogether now. . . . . "Heigh-Ho-o-o-o-o. . . . .!"
Whilst on the Santa Express you will be offered a glass of mulled wine and festive mince pie (adults only). Close up magic and lineside I-Spy ensure that every member of the family is involved in this truly magical experience.
This is a fully ticketed event so pre-booking is essential.
Please ensure you arrive at least 30 minutes before your Santa Express departure time. The Head of Steam café will be open serving tea, coffee, (fabulous!) hot chocolate and snacks. Toilets are available at the station and on the train. We can offer a wheelchair specific carriage that means the whole family can sit together in comfort to enjoy this unique experience.
