Torbay Council has a directly elected Mayor. The mayor is elected every four years. The last Mayoral election was held on 7 May 2015 and was combined with the UK Parliamentary, local council and town council elections.
A governance referendum was held on 5 May 2016. There will no longer be an elected Mayor in Torbay from 3 May 2019.
