The closing date for applications is Friday 18 January 2019.

Torbay’s Elected Mayor, Gordon Oliver has made his annual pledge of giving part of his salary to local charitable groups. In total, during his term of office grants of over £204,000 will have been handed out to local charities and organisations from the Mayor’s Fund.

The Council has also set up the Torbay Lottery Small Grants Fund which also gives local good causes the opportunity to apply for one off funding of up to £2,000 a year for a specific activity or to purchase small items of equipment further details on this can be found on our Torbay Lottery page.

Grants of up to £500 have been allocated to winning projects that will be progressed in the following 12 months, to organisations and individuals based and operating in Torbay. To ensure that this grant reaches as many organisations as possible anyone who has previously received a grant from the Mayor’s Fund will not be eligible to apply this year.

Torbay Mayor, Gordon Oliver, said: “This pledge is part of my election promise, which I have committed to for the past 8 years. This Fund is in place to help support the voluntary organisations and charities that support the local area and people.”
