New employees with us will automatically enter the Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS) on commencement. The LGPS is a Career Average Revalued Earnings (CARE) Scheme which means pension benefits are based on your pensionable salary for each year you are in the scheme and each year is revalued in accordance with the Pensions Act increases.
