
We are a unitary authority which means that we are responsible for delivering a range of different services to our local community, including schools, in the beautiful English Riviera Opens in a new window and offers an enormous range of challenging and rewarding jobs. We deliver over 700 services to more than 131,000 residents and the many visitors to come to the Bay every year.
Torbay offers an excellent quality of life in a unique geographical setting with plenty of beaches and a warm climate. It is made up of three towns - Torquay, Paignton and Brixham. Looking over the beautiful Tor Bay in South Devon, each of these three towns has their own separate characteristics.
Torbay is home to the English Riviera UNESCO Global Geopark and is also part of the South Devon Area of Natural Beauty.
The resort is one of the most popular visitor destinations in the country and has a wealth of outdoor, cultural and leisure opportunities for residents and visitors. It is close to Dartmoor National Park Opens in a new window, Cornwall and other areas of outstanding natural beauty, whilst still being near to other metropolitan areas.
Jobs are mainly based at Torquay’s Town Hall and Tor Hill House. However, there are other office locations depending upon job role.
